Prepare for your treatment

It is common that after draining you pee a lot, drink a lot of water to help eliminate toxins from the body and stay hydrated and I also recommend to avoid alcohol and processed foods for at least 3 days after having the massage.

Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is the body’s main defense  system.  It  consists  of  lymph  nodes,  that  is,  a  complex  network  of  vessels,   responsible   for   transporting   the   lymph   from   the   tissues   to   the   circulatory system. In   addition,   it   has   other   functions   such   as   the   protection   of   immune   cells,  as  it  works  with  the  immune  system.  Another  important  role  of  the  lymphatic  system  is  in  the  absorption  of fatty acids and the balance of fluids (liquids) in the tissues.

So what's it doing for me:

1. Fight swelling Lymphatic drainage helps to reduce swelling and fluid retention, because, through massage, it helps to drain liquids and toxins to the lymph nodes, facilitating their elimination.

2. Fight cellulite Since fluid retention contributes to the formation of cellulite, by promoting the elimination of fluids, it is also possible to combat cellulite. However, it is recommended to combine other methods, so that their elimination is more effective.

3. Assist in recovery from injuries Lymphatic drainage contributes to the recovery of muscle and joint injuries, since it favors muscle toning and promotes tissue oxygenation.

4. Promote healing Lymphatic drainage helps to reduce edema and improves blood supply, which contributes to faster tissue healing.

5. Reduce bruising In addition to accelerating healing, reducing edema and increasing blood circulation promoted by lymphatic drainage, it also contributes to the reduction of bruises.

6. Improve blood circulation Lymphatic drainage stimulates microcirculation and reduces swelling, which contributes to improving blood circulation, reducing the sensation of heavy legs and preventing the appearance of spider veins.

7. Oxygenate the tissues The activation of the microcirculation and the elimination of liquids promoted by lymphatic drainage, contributes to a more efficient tissue oxygenation, since oxygen reaches the cells more easily.

8. Eliminate toxins The lymphatic system helps the body to eliminate toxins, therefore, lymphatic drainage, by promoting the transport of liquids to the lymph nodes, makes this process more effective.

9. Improve self-esteem By reducing fluid retention, lymphatic drainage helps to shape the body, making the person more confident with their body, improving self-esteem and quality of life.

10. Prevent healing adhesions after plastic surgery Lymphatic drainage favors the organized regeneration of fibers, preventing the scar from sticking together.

Will one treatment fix me?

Well, there’s no definite answer to this question – clients vary with different ailments, and goals. There are different therapies to alleviate all kinds of conditions, but it all varies as well.

Your body isn't Amazon Prime, you can't expect full results in one-day.

But hey, some people walk away from a single session feeling immediate relief, others have felt a physical improvement from their session the next day or a few days later, and some have required a series of regularly scheduled sessions in order to notice significant improvements.

It’s important to discuss your ailments and your expectation, so I can help you understand the benefits to anticipate and how soon you can expect those benefits from your sessions.

While it’s ultimately up to you to decide whether you want a single session or a series of sessions, if you plan to return more frequently I do offer packages and memberships.

Post-Op

Lymph is your body's liquid trash can and EEEEEEKKK, the lymph has no organ pump... Without a properly functioning (although largely invisible) lymphatic system, you'd drown in your own waste products!  That's because toxins and waste products are clogging up their only exit ways from your body.

  • Red blood's circular, pumped (by the heart) movement
  • Lymph a clear-to-white lymph moves just one way - again it doesn't have a self pump!

Manual Lymphatic Drainage is the application of light touch and flowing strokes in specific patterns with the goal of alleviating lymph edema.
Truthful fact when it comes to MLD... it’s not a very exciting treatment. The lymphatic system is a delicate network of capillaries resting just underneath the surface of the skin.
While the heart continuously pumps blood through the blood vessels, the lymphatic system relies on the movement of smooth muscles to transport fluid through the lymph vessels. After surgery, the lymph nodes commonly tend to swell and become filled with fluid. This can become extremely uncomfortable and even painful if not addressed. This lymph detox treatment is designed to drain this excess fluid and move it out of the lymph nodes, improving recovery time. You will typically start lymphatic detox treatments a few days after surgery. ·  Reduces swelling and inflammation·  Detoxes the body·  Accelerate healing time

Please note that my schedule books up quickly and weeks in advance; and to better guarantee yourself specific days and times then please do so through my online booking system (Fresha) and schedule out all of your treatments ahead of time. Thank you
